Major difference between the reformist versus deformist papers?
The reformist ones show actual massive crowds and the reformist leaders; but the conservative ones show people through illusionist lens (with lots of colors) and NO leaders in the crowd (e.g. no Ahmadinejad!)

    hey Naj, do you know why khamenei never shows up at these rallies?

    I know that he's "supreme" and all, but do they give an official reason for his absence?

    This is a splendid question! I have no clue.

    But, what was noticed was the absence of Mr Mashayee, the Ahmadinejad-beloved Israel-lover ;)

    The protests were widely reported as basically having hijacked a govt ok'd event for other reasons. Were there more people than usual for this yearly protest against Israel?
