Iran's Wild

If you like ecotourism you might be interested to know that "Iran is host to some of Asia's most diverse animal wildlife. Its Caspian coastline, arid central deserts and fertile plains are the habitat for a vast range of creatures."

This prize-winning book is the first and the only comprehensive work on the fauna of Iran, by Eskandar Firouz--a former Director of the Department of the Environment in Iran.

This looks like an amazing book - gorgeous cover. I had no idea that there was such a diversity of wildlife in Iran - not a clue that there were big cats - wow. Now I want to visit before Dick Cheney convinces Dubya to attack. God, I am heartbroken over what America has become.

Hi diva ... Yes Iran is not just an oil pit ... I wish the world will realize it soon enough. We can but to spread the word.

I will echo Diva's thoughts. I did not know there were so many different animals and geographically distinct regions in Iran. I am very impressed! I hope the government will take seriously the need to protect the most sensitive and biologically rich areas.

I agree with both Diva and david. Your government must do all it can to protect your wildlife and natural beauty like we once did for our National Parks.

Don't let it be destroyed for its resources and once gone you can never get it back.

God Bless.
