Hillary Clinton promises to "obliterate" Iran

This woman is doing ANYTHING possible to get votes!
And at the end of the day, people who are voting for her are either senile, or battered women with serious phallic envy disorder who seek empowerment in obnoxious talk-tough attitude of this utterly stupid woman: Hillary Clinton!

This is her new cat out of the bag:

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton warned Tehran on Tuesday that if she were president, the United States could "totally obliterate" Iran in retaliation for a nuclear strike against Israel.

On the day of a crucial vote in her nomination battle against fellow Democrat Barack Obama, the New York senator said she wanted to make clear to Tehran what she was prepared to do as president in hopes that this warning would deter any Iranian nuclear attack against the Jewish state.

"I want the Iranians to know that if I'm the president, we will attack Iran (if it attacks Israel)," Clinton said in an interview on ABC's "Good Morning America."

"In the next 10 years, during which they might foolishly consider launching an attack on Israel, we would be able to totally obliterate them," she said.

"That's a terrible thing to say but those people who run Iran need to understand that because that perhaps will deter them from doing something that would be reckless, foolish and tragic," Clinton said.

Her comments appeared harder than a week ago, when during a presidential debate she promised "massive retaliation" against any Iranian attack on Israel.

Obama rejected Clinton's rhetoric as saber rattling on a day when Pennsyhttp://www.blogger.com/img/gl.link.giflvania Democrats voted in a party primary contest that could help decide which Democrat will face Republican John McCain for the White House in the November general election.

"One of the things that we've seen over the last several years is a bunch of talk using words like 'obliterate,"' Obama, an Illinois senator, said in a separate ABC interview. "It doesn't actually produce good results. And so I'm not interested in saber rattling."

WAIT A MINUTE MRS DUMB-ASS CLINTON:

Those who have been threatening IRAN with military action in recent months have been Israelis; not the other way around!

Jerusalem Post: "Military Action Against Iran Ready"

AFP: Israel may have to take military action against Iran, Bolton says

Israel Toda: "Israel receive the blessing of EU and US to attack Iran"

London Time: "Leaked, Israel plans nuclear strike against Iran"

London Telegraph: Israel seeks all clear to attack Iran

ICH: Petraeus signals attack against Iran

NOW SHUT UP!

This charade with Hillary Clinton has gone on too long. She's never going to get the nomination-- she needed to win big in Pennsylvania, really really big, and she totally failed to do so. She's way too far behind in pledged delegates, popular votes and states. All she's doing now is rattling sabers and damaging the Democratic Party.

It's time to put an end to her candidacy, to destroy Hillary Clinton, destroy Bill Clinton and stop this mockery of our electoral process. Especially now that Hillary is fantasizing about genocide against other nations, we should have no hesitation in destroying her political career, in the most determined way possible.

I was waiting to see your reaction to this, I don't think this discourse is really about stating the priciples of MAD but is to normalise the idea Iran will preemptively attack, thus opening the door to gaining approval of Iran being pre-emptively attacked, Cheney would be proud.

Hillary voted for the current war for profit and openly made statements supporting the war until a few months before she ran for Emperor.

She is and always has been a power hungry war-loving tool.

JR,

Jimmy Carter's quarrel with Shah was over "human right's abuse" ... and yes explicitly stated by William Sullivan, the reason why they signed the alliance pact with Mullahs was because Bakhtiyar's (the Nationalists) cared more for Iran's interest and were less gullible than the masses of Islamists!

Then Reagan's team USED Mullah's to oust Carter; and not only that, but to stage the hostage crisis in such a way that America woudl be able to forget the SHAME of vietnam, and become the victim! So much like the scenario of 911.

Old neo-conservative rule!

Frankly, I awouldn't be surprise these Mullah's are on neo-conn paycheck!

But Israel is also smart.
1) Iran will NEVER attack Israel!
2) Israel will NEVER attack Iran.

It serves none any purpose!

However, the bickering and the rhetoric, and the similitude of animosity helps BOTH Iran and Israel macropolitically!

Iran gets the Muslim sympathy; Israel gets the American sympathy!

I'm really confused by the trade of oil between Iran and Israel. Just as I am confused by the dealings between the Reagan administration and the mullahs.
From an Iranian perspective, when do you think the next revolution will take place in Iran? When do you think democracy will take over? And is there any support in Iran for Pahlavi having a part in a new government? Not as a "Shah", but as a political force.

:))

JR
Pahlavi's are a JOKE :))

And no there won't be a revolution in Iran!

And believe it or not, there is more democracy in Iran now than there ever was during Pahlavis!

Things will sort themselves out with change of generations, expectations and outlooks, not revolution!

Good post, Naj. Great links as well. Peace will eventually overcome aggression, just as light overcomes darkness. The question that remains is: Will we live long enough to witness it?

It's strangely funny in a sick crazy way that this story got little to no press coverage but the story that Obama is an "elitist" and how he stuck his foot in his mouth saying what he did about small town America was all the press could talk about for days. Hillary could in the end make Bush look like a peacemaker.

JR - those words seem like a dated perspective.

Naj, I follow your line on this:

"Things will sort themselves out with change of generations, expectations and outlooks, not revolution!"

I agree, I'm always one for evolution over revolution. Too much gets thrown up in the air and too many opportunists linger with dubious intentions. It's funny though to be here and see things change so rapidly and for the most unforeseen reasons. I can see big changes coming about through action that is far from political. These things will take time as the nation develops indigenously - this for seems to be the only way. We must learn our way, take from elsewhere what works for us. Having things forced upon us by outside for example will only stall the process - democracy (if desired) will find its place here in Iran, one doesn't need to export this concept in any forced fashion. Sadly though that which is pressed upon us from outside only goes under the guise of democracy and human right - I'm suspicious.

As for Clinton - I'm not sure the dynastic situation is helpful for what appears to be a tough times ahead, and certainly rogue words that surely (are seen to) mirror those of Ahmadinejad are not going to help her deteriorating campaign - smoke and mirrors!

Keep up the good work Naj.
