This blog is about fairness; about looking at objects from multiple perspectives. Stable transformation comes only slowly; and only if the environment is free of sporadic jitters of passion and anger that destabilize growth. I strongly believe that the path to peace crosses through the battle with self.

There is really nothing new to be said: read older posts. I shall remain silent until guns silence in Gaza.
This dead child is a pawn in a big bloody Chess game. Think his parents didn't know what when he was born, probably with the hyprocritical aid from Iran to some "women's health charity." Does Iran provide any actual birth control supplies to Gaza or the West Bank (the most fucking crowded places on the planet), like they do the women in Iran?
The westerners may roll their whatever in disgust! I have to admit that I roll my eyes in digust over westerner's zeal with dogs, when humans are being slaughtered by the western-supported zionists across the globe.
As for Janati's wish to spare a bullet on Israel FM ... well how are his wishes different from The Israeli's ACTION: actually sparing bullets on Hamas ministers and triggering the war as e are seeing.
Jannati is OLD ... I mean he even looks like Noah! This man will die; and this man's word holds no water.
Trust me Nunya, the easterners have been rolling their eyes at the juvenile naivitee of westerners for centuries ...
As for Birth control in Gaza: frankly if I was a Palestinian, I would be child rearing like a rabit too! If I KNOW someone is trying to exterminate my race (like Israel is doing to Palestinians) I wouls make sure to bring enough babies to this world to defy them in that purpose!
"Trust me Nunya, the easterners have been rolling their eyes at the juvenile naivitee of westerners for centuries ..."
Mmm mmm, and doing anything they have to to live in western countries where the standard of living is higher because people don't breed like rabbits because some ethereal entity in the sky tells their stupid asses to do that because said ethereal entity in the sky has no faith that stupid rabbits can think for themselves.
The Palestinians would already be extirminated or would emigrate to Muslim countries if it wasn't a Chess game that the whole world feels the need to.
The Palestinians are a distraction in Muslim countries from the failings of Islam and the failings of Mulsim governments.
you say:Mmm mmm, and doing anything they have to to live in western countries where the standard of living is higher because people don't breed like rabbits because some ethereal entity in the sky tells their stupid asses to do that because said ethereal entity in the sky has no faith that stupid rabbits can think for themselves.
This is precisely what I call an instance of western naivite :) 1) Orientals do not do "anything" to live in western countries. Those who do are westerners in mentality. You don't need to be born in the west to be a westerner; just as you don't need to be born in India to be an oriental.
2)Where the standard of living is higher: May I chuckle! I think your western science is illustrating to us that in deed this higher standard of life is something that the earth can no longer sustain. You see, it is not the rabit child birth in Africa is causing the drought; it is the WESTERNERS green house emissions! The US of A that has your so "imagined" highest standard of living is a waste-land; is a greedy JUVENILE, selfish market in which a "recession" magles up the whole national psychology ... your grand STANDARD OF LIVING are built on market speculations and on cheap chinese import; and if you have noticed, your science and technology and medicine is being over taken by the "orientals" who do "anything" as you say to live the "higher standard of living" ... well sweety, let me update you on one thing: If all the Iranian doctors decided to leave the US of A en mass, yoru country will suffer SERIOUS shortage of specialists!
3) As for child birth; I think the only people who breed like rabits because the god says so are some form of Christians or orthodox Jews. Also, one reason for having large families is that large family creates "work force". This is one of those notions that the naive westerners are unfamiliar with ... but if you take a look at your "conservative" statistics you would become familiar with the notion of negative birth rate; and how that is projected to create a shortage of national work force in the "high-life-standarded western countries"
Anyways, my eyes have been rolling enough; time for a good night of sleep ...
Just one thing: the world being tired of Israeli-Palestinian drama; well the world has created the problem; so the world better stand up to its responsibility and make sure it is solved.
3. "I think the only people who breed like rabits because the god says so are some form of Christians or orthodox Jews"
Hmmm. Well one of the Palestinian mlitant clerics had four wives and 14 kids and that makes sense on a planet whose population has doubled in my lifetime to 7 billion with with food grown with petroleum based fertilizers, pesticides and petroleum dependent farm machinery and transportation methods, right?
Oh, and aid from Iran and Saudi Arabia , supposedly vying for hegemony in the region.
Actually, the Iranian specialists I know are either teaching in Harvard; or residing on the Fifth Avenue or Sunset Boulvard. So these are the pre-revolutionary Iranians who have established themselves in the US.
the post-revolutionary ones ... well they are stealing the show because well the do well in USLME ... anyways, America will not suffer the loss of new comers; but the older ones.
Why am I living here? Because I am a westerner :))
that stuff about child rearing and etc i won't answer. Tell me, do you have brothers and sisters? If not; you just don't know the fun of having a large family :)

Your readers, even those moral cowards who hide behind their Intellect and resort to Rhetoric, might be interested in some comments recently made by the veteran Labour MP Sir Gerald Kaufman in the House of Commons:
'My grandmother was ill in bed when the Nazis came to her home town of Staszów. A German soldier shot her dead in her bed. Madam Deputy Speaker, my grandmother did not die to provide cover for Israeli soldiers murdering Palestinian grandmothers in Gaza. The present Israeli government ruthlessly and cynically exploit the continuing guilt among Gentiles over the slaughter of Jews in the Holocaust as justification for their murder of Palestinians. The implication is that Jewish lives are precious, but the lives of Palestinians do not count. On Sky News a few days ago, the spokeswoman for the Israeli Army Major Livovich was asked about the Israeli killing of, at that time, eight hundred Palestinians. The total is now a thousand. She replied instantly, "Five hundred of them were militants." That was the reply of a Nazi. I suppose the Jews fighting for their lives in the Warsaw Ghetto could have been dismissed as militants.'
The speech is well worth watching in full, among other things as an indication of the problems created for many Jews outside the United States, who have always felt a profound commitment to Israel, by current Israeli and U.S. policy.
(See http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=qMGuYjt6CP8.)
Not only does Kaufman think the Israeli action in Gaza wicked -- he simply cannot see that it is underpinned by any coherent long-term strategy whatsoever. 'It is time for peace, but real peace,' he says', 'not the solution by conquest, which is the Israelis' real goal, but which is impossible for them to achieve. They're not simply war criminals; they're fools.'
As to what drives the disillusion of the originally strongly Zionist Kaufman with Israel, some remarks of his from a speech in 2002 are of interest:
'It is time to remind Sharon that the star of David belongs to all Jews, not to his repulsive Government. His actions are staining the star of David with blood. The Jewish people, whose gifts to civilised discourse include Einstein and Epstein, Mendelssohn and Mahler, Sergei Eisenstein and Billy Wilder, are now symbolised throughout the world by the blustering bully Ariel Sharon, a war criminal implicated in the murder of Palestinians at the Sabra and Shatila camps and now involved in killing Palestinians once again.'

There were three of us and there is one grandchild, my child, who looked up from her AP(Advanced Placement, a college class, taken in high school)environmental science class textbook with tears in her eyes and asked me "Mom, do you know what it's going to be like in 40 years?"
Read this Naj, it's quite enlightening, although I'm sure it's more sciency than artsy.
I spent all day yesterday reading articles linked to this one, from a progressive news magazine. The articles are very helpful for Americans routinely misinformed by American media biased towards Israel.
Then I watched Rick Steves in Iran. Overall it was very positive, showing the best of Persian culture to Americans, well, the ones who watch PBS anyway. One thing stuck in my craw big-time, and that was the sign in the mosque that translated to "Death to Israel."
I had a lovely conversation with a Christian Israeli and a Palestinian born in Lebanon and raised in Jordan this morning. The Christian Israeli is convinced that if Muslims take over Israel there will be no freedom of religion. The Palestinian kid missed that part of the conversation. I'm sure I'll bump into him again, I've known the kid since he was in high school here.
A condensending reply to my postings which attempted to articulate a moral position.
Yours is yet another splendid example of smug Western attitude to the Evils caused by their own governments - it is always someone else's fault, isn't it?
[But] can, then, they [who deny the truth] learn no lesson by recalling how many a generation We have destroyed before their time? [23] [people] in whose dwelling-places they [themselves now] walk about? In this, behold, there are messages indeed: will they not, then, listen?
More disgusting that he people who put the close-range shots in the body of that child; are the men who are surrounding him!
That child has died not only because of Israeli savagery; but ALSO because of the savagery of the men who pledge to kill; who use this dead body as a trophy with which to cash on international prize of sympathy!
Yes I put this picture up and went to silence because it disgusted me; those men who surrounded him disgusted me; just as Israel disgusts me.
Only if people like you shut up; or went to a cave and fought the like of yourselves in a paint-bullet war, we would have all been so much better off!
You wrote: "...More disgusting that he people who put the close-range shots in the body of that child; are the men who are surrounding him!"
Those men are anguished - they are showing the dead so that others may bear witness to the crimes against Islam and Muslims.
Why are they more disgustng t than the actual murderer?
Or are you suggesting that Palestinians should not have resisted for the past 60 years?
Perhaps we should not have resisted the Iraqis either?
Yes, they brought this 4 year old boy who had lost both his legs below the knee. He was crying ask his dad: "Please bring back my legs so that Mrs. Doctor could sew them on again." Yes, it as his father fault or Ruhollah's fault that he had lost his legs.
Palestinian always had our sympathy - now they also have our anger & frustration.
They will pay for their sins as well as their crimes.

1. "If all the Iranian doctors decided to leave the US of A en mass, yoru country will suffer SERIOUS shortage of specialists!"
Fair enough...and yet...
Those Iranian specialists are another "cheap chinese import;" working for huge corporate medical companies on HB1 visas.
You think Americans aren't aware that they are being pushed aside by their own politicians? We know our government is sold to the highest bidder. Even Canadian medical suppliers are in one it, and producing WMD's.
You still believe that Americans actually have some control over their government, don't you?
Who is naive?
2. "it is the WESTERNERS green house emissions!"
Oil? Heloooooooooo?
Islam might have evolved without it. (maybe)
Why are you living in a western country?

From the sale of oil to western countries.
So, who invites the poor suffering Palestinians to come and live where it is safe to live?
I believe that is a pragmatic, rather than romantic approach.
