"Economic" headlines that Ahmadinejad wishes to distract from by promising NEW mayhem

These headlines are picked randomly:

Ham Mihan News: TV program "Direct, village" falsifies the real picture of Iran's agriculture.
"Last week, the agricultural reporter of the paper was deployed to investigate the situation of rice farmers in North of Iran, and in interviewing the farmers, he accidentally learned that even the farmers are unhappy about this show and demand a real projection of their actual problems in national medial [i.e. seda o seema, which is Ahmadinejad's mouthpiece. This is a HARROWING account of agricultural and environmental DISASTERS brought about not by nature but Ahmadinejad's administration!!]"

Sarmayeh: Poverty line in Tehran: 900$/month! [a pensioners allowance, or an MD's salary while working in a hospital<900$]

Sarmayeh: (before the election) Unknown individuals unloaded 80 tons of potato in varamin and khyrabad streets and told people to take them if they wanted. [apparently, the government is using people's money (i.e. oil income) to buy these potatos from farmers who have a production surplus and distributes them for free in poor neighborhoods! what's wrong with this picture? 1) no parliamentary approval; 2)farmers report that the government is not facilitating exportation of the surplus potatos; thus forcing farmers to sell to the government at low price.]

Sarmayeh: proposal for a governmental corporation to buy delayed bank loans! [this is frightening: this unspecified governmental agency seems to be leaning on creating a mafia that coerces the loan holders to paying back; in exchange for a percentage of loan as profit.]

Donya-ye Eghtesad: Who are the bidders of the biggest sale in Iran's history (8.7 billion dollars sale of Iran's national communication corp) [They all seem to be sub-corporations of the IRGC (revolutionary guard)].

Etemad Melli: Iran Khodro's [automaker] 123 billion dollars loss.

Hamsahri: Iran's auto export: a failed dream. [instead of setting up sales offices in promising markets for Iran's cars, Iranian automakers wasted their assets and inertia in setting up production lines in some Eastern European countries; neglecting numerous exportation opportunities.]

Alef: Third wave of economic recession is under way.

E'temad: According to world bank, Iran drops in economic rank!

Ettela'at 51% drop in value of oil exports.

Etemad: 5 high-profile members of parliament have issued a warning to Ahmadinejad to not further violate the budget rules by subsidizing fuel. [concerns have been growing that Chavez' visit to Iran has been linked to risk of fuel sanctions and that Ahmadienjad and Chavez have made obscure deals for Chavez to sell Iran expensive fuel and Iran subsidize the costs to keep consumer's mouths shut!]

NOTE: As I am doing this post, I am noticing an INCREASING threatening mood directed at Karoubi! The relation between these crackdowns and the depressive economic MESS Ahmadinejad has plunged the country in should not be underrated. Ahmadinejad and Khamenei need distraction and chaos so that they can blame these unfixable problems on the "opponents" who "allegedly" are creating chaos.

I will complete this economic list later. Friday seems to be turning into a dangerous turning point. Khamenei is going to give Friday Prayer's sermon this week and everyone is bracing for another outburst of this blood thirsty fool! (there goes my vacation :) )

People are mobilizing to counter this threat; preparing to die again. New chain of arrests is underway. Change in the judiciary has changed NOTHING! They are determined to destroy all evidence of torture and human rights abuse! They are closing down and sealing many of revolution archive centers; offices of the pillars of the Islamic Revolution. Yesterday, Abdolkarim Soroush, one of the most prominent Islamic philosophers of Revolution has written an open letter to Khamenei; calling him a decadent tyrant; professing his demise; and repenting for ANY assistance he has ever provided to the establishment of this tyrannical system to which Khamenei is clinging as the last breath of life ...

The crackdowns occured only because Iranians protested against a rigged election. Without protest no crackdown. Or do you really think in a better economic situation they would have allowed any protest?
The bad performance of Iran's economy is more or less a forgotten topic in recent days but it will a play a vital role in the future. Even if you say I don't care about democracy and personal rights Ahmadinejad is a catastrophy as a President because he isn't just unable to fix Iran's problems he makes them even worse in every aspect of life.
