Iran's foreign-relation delusions; Sept 1st 2009.

Old, and proposed for new term Foreign Minister Mottaki:
Iran's policies and foreign relations put the last word on international matters!
Iran's high commissioner of national security, Jalili:
After a magnificent presidential election, backed by power, logic and a strengthened presidency, we are not prepared to present a new package.

This is while ISNA reported that France and Germany have threatened tougher economic sanctions!!

Of course, Ghasghavi, the speaker of the foreign ministry dismissed the sanctions and fired back at France and Germany by criticizing their abuse of citizen's and minority's right and said:
"Today, in France, they don't let a citizen even criticize the president; how can these people teach others human rights?"

Dear Naj,

not being quite sure if you know, I would like to draw your attention to a manifesto supported by an international community of authors, writers, poets, philosophers, scientists and intellectuals of any conceivable artistic, scientific, ideological, political (etc. – you name it) conviction and creed addressing the general secretary of the UN as to the Iranian election. This manifesto has been published by the Boston Review (http://bostonreview.net/BR32.5/ganji.php ), a magazine of debate with remarkable contributors (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Boston_Review ).

The signataries demand
1) an international truth commission
2) Increased influence on the Iranian government with the aims of
3) a new election
4) the release of the imprisoned participants of the (post-)election rallies
5) the readmission of banned media
6) the end of the brutal domestic policy
7) the end of each and every cooperation with president Ahmadinejad

All the best

Dear Naj,

I am a bit nervous and confused after having found out about that manifesto. So I am not sure, if I managed to send you the corrected link of this manifesto, which is:

http://www.akbarganji.org/?p=103#more-103

Sorry for having you - unintentionally - misinformed.
