This blog is about fairness; about looking at objects from multiple perspectives. Stable transformation comes only slowly; and only if the environment is free of sporadic jitters of passion and anger that destabilize growth. I strongly believe that the path to peace crosses through the battle with self.

Please Read This if you are trying to understand how Iran's "Green Revolution" is played out in the world.
I just want to let you there are people here in the United States who want a peaceful solution to your present crisis. I classify myself as being on the political left; but I don't believe in the conspiracy theory about this uprising and protest being crudely manipulated by foreign operators.
I see this as a struggle of Iranians to be heard. Maybe a setup with so much religious control in government is not what I like; but it is not my country, it's your country.
What's good about the Green movement is that it's not regime change, but is seeking some kind of reasonable meeting of the minds, a consensus among Iranians and their leaders to adjust the constitution a little, but to remain with the Islamic Republic's overall constitutional framework.
I'm just writing to let you know that I am following events closely, and I'm wishing for the best outcome that can satisfy your desire for justice and fair representation, for transparent processes when you cast your votes, for press freedom and a platform in civic space where an Iranian can voice criticism of the government.
Many of the changes you want will take time; but I think you have the beginnings of a civil rights and reform movement, and I have faith that you will succeed in the long run.
My best wishes to you. I have added you blog to my blogroll. Good luck.
I also reject the notion that what happened in Iran stemmed from any foreign manipulation. However, as this article correctly points out, many foreign currents are trying to align themselves with it, or manipulate its path!
By the way, I wonder how peace-loving Americans are going to react to Biden!
I'm pretty sure there's going to be a strong political backlash to what Biden said. What he said is really shocking and contradicts what we understood Obama has made clear on this subject. We will know in a couple of days; but I expect the reaction will come quickly.
Most Americans really dread the thought of Israel being given a green light to attack Iran. It seems in some way too fantastic and awful to believe that giving such a green light to the Israeli leaders, would happen now, when Bush (the most horrible of American presidents) would not risk it.

We will have to keep a close eye on this.
